nagisa ni te - the same as a flower
"The same as flower" - imagine imperial era mark robinson jamming with the girl from deerhoof on some pacific island. I think mark might be playing guitar too (again, imperial era downtempo strummy stuff). oh yeah and nobody is speaking english.
"thread of souls" - moe tucker arrives on the island, with miss deerhoof
"river"- the team sings in a round, accompanied by slightly swooshy guitar
"a light" - childish and slow....
"wife (instumental)" - break out the strummy dulcimer and they wispy beatbox. more islandy slide guitar, but this one is a little more country.
"Bramble" - lives up to its sort of country name. just sort of plods along, but with a much thicker sound, drums piano synths horns etc.(hinted at in the same as flower), but this one is too damn long.
The first three songs are worth second listen, with "thread of souls" being my fave, though nothing here is really stellar.
