antena - camino del sol
drawing from french pop and and that kooky side of new wave that includes tom-tom club and family fodder, anteanna creates wierd little bossanova songs that i really don't know what to make of. There are echos of later bands throughout. "Camino del sol" seems like formative stereolab, while "Silly Things seem like a ton of chill twee-pop (late teenbeat or sarah records) that was to follow.
Minus a couple of wince moments, the album is a good overall listen, but a few trax standout.
"The Boy from Impanema"
"camino del Sol"

the aerovons - resurrection
beatles beatles and more beatles. all mid to late beatles style are given equal treatment. succesful but a total cop.
"world of you" is the most successuful and original, taking a darker piano/orchestral path.
